FocusBit

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 4, 2026  ·  Applies to: FocusBit for Android, version 1.0 and later

1.Overview

FocusBit is a habit-tracking and focus-timer app. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and the choices you have. FocusBit does not require an account — you can use the app's core habit-tracking and focus-timer features entirely offline, and your habit data stays on your device unless you explicitly export or back it up.

2.Information we collect

2.1 Content you create

Habits, notes, reminder times, focus session records, and app preferences you create inside FocusBit. This data is stored locally on your device using the app's on-device database and is not transmitted to us.

2.2 Automatically collected data (analytics & diagnostics)

FocusBit uses Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app usage and diagnose crashes. This can include device model, OS version, app version, language, approximate region (derived from IP address), in-app events (e.g. "habit created," "focus session completed"), and crash/error logs. This data is associated with an anonymous installation identifier, not your name or email address.

2.3 Advertising data

Free-tier usage of FocusBit includes ads served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect the advertising identifier (AAID), IP address, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads, and — where permitted by your device settings and region — to personalize ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising in your device's ad settings; see Your rights & choices.

2.4 Purchase data

If you subscribe to a premium plan, the purchase is processed by Google Play Billing and managed with RevenueCat. We receive subscription status and purchase metadata (such as plan type and renewal date) to unlock premium features. FocusBit does not see or store your payment card details — those are handled entirely by Google Play.

3.How we use information

We do not use your habit or focus-session content for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

4.Local storage & backup

Your habits, logs, and focus history are stored in a local database on your device. If you use the app's backup/restore feature, a backup file is created and stored in a location you choose (such as local device storage or a cloud-storage folder you control). We do not have access to that backup file unless you share it with us directly, for example when troubleshooting an issue.

5.Third-party services

FocusBit uses the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:

ServicePurposePolicy
Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics) Usage analytics, crash reporting firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Google AdMob Displaying and measuring ads (free tier) policies.google.com/privacy
Google Play Billing Processing subscription payments policies.google.com/privacy
RevenueCat Managing subscription status across devices revenuecat.com/privacy

6.Permissions

FocusBit requests the following device permissions:

A future version may add an optional app-blocking feature during focus sessions, which would require additional permissions such as Usage Access (or Accessibility Service) and Display-over-other-apps. Those permissions are not requested in the current version. If this feature ships, it will be off by default, explained in-app before you enable it, and this policy will be updated before that release.

7.Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers listed in Third-party services, solely to operate the features described above, and where required to comply with the law or protect our legal rights.

8.Retention & deletion

Habit and focus-session data lives on your device for as long as the app is installed. Uninstalling FocusBit removes this local data (unless you've saved a backup elsewhere). Analytics and crash data are retained by Firebase according to its standard retention windows, after which they are automatically deleted. To request deletion of any data associated with your device, contact us using the details in Contact us.

9.Children's privacy

FocusBit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10.Your rights & choices

11.Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data handled by FocusBit and its service providers. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as FocusBit evolves — for example, when adding new features that change what data is collected. We'll update the "Effective date" above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app.
